1. Who we are

Your legal business / proprietor name is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through MrJobs under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. Contact: support@yourdomain.com.

2. What we collect

• Account details: name, email, mobile number and password (stored in encrypted form).
• Role and subscription details: job seeker or employer, payment status and dates.
• Payment records: Razorpay order and payment IDs and the amount. Card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay and are never stored by us.
• Employer job posts, including hiring manager name and phone number.
• Usage data: pages visited, IP address, browser or device type, and actions such as viewing a contact number. We use this for security, fraud prevention and reports.
• A push notification token, if you allow notifications.
• Messages you send us through the contact form.

3. Why we use it

• To create your account and give you the service you paid for.
• To process payments, issue invoices and prevent fraud.
• To show relevant jobs, send service messages and, with your consent, push notifications.
• To keep records the law requires and to resolve disputes.

4. Consent

We collect and use your data with your consent, given when you register by ticking the agreement box, or where the law allows. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawing may stop some features.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with Razorpay (payments), our hosting provider, our push notification provider (LaraPush), Google (Analytics and Search Console, which help us understand traffic), and authorities when legally required. Hiring manager details on job posts are shown only to paying members.

6. Storage and retention

Data is stored on secure servers of our hosting provider. We keep account data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when you ask, or after long inactivity. We keep payment and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

7. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, or nominate a person to act for you if you die or cannot act. Use your Account page or Contact Us. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied after contacting us, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

MrJobs is for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will delete the data.

9. Security and breaches

We use HTTPS, encrypted passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Board as the law requires.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and local storage to remember your colour theme. Google Analytics may set cookies to measure visits. Push notifications run only through the provider named above.
